Manchán Magan is an Irish writer, traveller and documentary maker. He has made over 30 travel documentaries focusing on issues of world cultures and globalisation. He has written books on his travels in Africa, India and South America and two novels. He writes occasionally for The Irish Times and reports on travel for various radio programmes. He lives in an oak forest in a self-made hovel in the bogs of Ireland.
